This completely refurbished animal shelter nearly doubled in size to 3,500 square feet with the renovation of the existing one-story slab on grade structure and the construction of a new slab on grade wood framed addition with pitched asphalt shingle roof. The original portion of the building was designed for dog rescue and training, while the new addition was designed for cat and small animal rescue. The new addition also accommodates a second floor mechanical room. The facility includes an exam room, two specially designed cat colony areas, dog kennels, kitchens, laundries, and offices for staff and volunteers.
